Have you ever gotten one of those red light camera tickets?

I got one in the mail about 2 months ago. 461 bucks.

I know California is broke, but you have to be kidding me.

Since, obviously there was some sort of MISTAKE, and the fine is draconian, I decided to fight it. Not to mention that those cameras don't reduce accidents. What they do is make MONEY. And reduce intersection accidents, but then raise rear end accidents by the same amount. Of course if people start slamming on their brakes at yellow lights, someone is going to get hit.

So I researched it, sent letters asking the prosecution for discovery, never heard back.

Im waiting in court. About 15 people choose to go to trial. GUILTY. bang comes the gavel. GUILTY bang -guilty guilty GUILTY bang bang BANG.

SHOOT. this judge nailed every single person in front of me. I'm literally the last person in the courtroom. 14 guilty verdicts in a row. I step up, motion to dismiss because of a failure to report discovery, and BLAM. Case dismissed. WHEW. no points on my record, no higher insurance, no traffic school, and get my money back.

What I learned is that the system knows your rights, but they'll be damned to tell you when you're giving them away. When you get the ticket, you have to go to arraignment -OR you waive your right to a speedy trial. If you reply by mail like the ticket instructs, bam- you just waived your right to a trial within 45 days.

Its so true- the essence of freedom is the proper limitation of government.

- We have a phenomenal line up this year to blow you away with and a top notch brand new sound system. Expect great bands and dj's all weekend long.

-The Bazaar area is going to be insanely fun with a small acoustical size stage pumping tunes from the main stage, broken up with smaller fun acts
to entertain you while you enjoy free drinks from the bar, while supplies last.

-The Coffee guys are back, plus we’ll be serving up some tasty delights to tingle your taste buds.

-Healysium is providing a Zen healing space for yoga, massage, energy work and deeper conversations of a spiritual nature. If you have items of the Zen nature such as chimes, bamboo creations, statues, alter items, cushions or rugs please feel free to contribute to the collaborative energy of this area.

-A chill lounge area will also be set up just south of the Bazaar area with more ambient tunes and chill visuals. This will be a communal area and once again if you have extra carpets, rugs, futons, cushions, seats, art and anything that you feel would contribute to a chill lounge please feel free to contribute.

-This will also be an area for acoustical & percussion musicians to create jam sessions with didgeridoos, drums, guitars, accordions, etc. We would love for people to feel welcome to share their talents with the rest of the community so they too can participate.

-The Art Creation Station is back once again. Please come and create crazy fun art as there will be some projects to create as well as the usual paint, pipe cleaners, hats, feathers, black light stuff and costume wares to cut up, sew, paint and create your own style. If you have cool fun costuming clothes you haven’t worn in some time then please bring and share. Someone else will probably look good in it.

- NO GLASS ALLOWED ON SITE AT ALL-
broken glass has been polluting the river. No glass bottles allowed at all. Put liquids into plastic containers.
as part of our permit conditions and out of respect for the land, cars will be inspected for compliance with the
"no glass" rule. We are not concerned with the contents of the bottle. Only that the containers are not glass.

-NO CARS ALLOWED IN MAIN EVENT AREA-
Shuttles will take you and your gear from the main entrance to the event.

-CAR CAMPING AND R.V. CAMPING IS ONLY ALLOWED IN THE PARKING LOT-
You'll have a much better time bringing a tent instead. But if you must, you can car camp in the parking lot.

-R.V. CAMPING SPACES ARE LIMITED. YOU MUST CONTACT THE ELYSIUM PEOPLE FOR PASSES BEFORE THE EVENT-

-NO RENEGADE SOUND SYSTEMS ALLOWED-
Leave your P.A. system and dj gear at home. You can use a boombox and an Ipod in camp, but respect your neighbors.

-THE EVENT IS STRICTLY FOR PEOPLE 21 OR OLDER, NO EXCEPTIONS-
bring your Photo ID.

-ON SUNDAY, WHEN YOU GO TO LEAVE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PULL YOUR CAR IN TO LOAD OUT-
again, to load in, we will have shuttles available for you. To load out, you'll be able to pull your car in on sunday. This will keep sunday from turning into a traffic jam at the shuttle point.

1.Merge onto CA-91 East
2.Take the exit onto I-15 S toward San Diego, 49.3 mi
3.Take exit 46 for CA-76 toward Pala/Oceanside
4.Turn left at CA-76/Pala Rd
5.Continue to follow CA-76 for 23.7 mi to: 22000 Hwy 76 - La Jolla Indian Reservation
6.Once you reach the campground, CONTINUE driving on CA-76 for another 1.5 miles, past the Main Entrance.
There will be a PRIVATE ENTRANCE for the Elysium Midsummer Festival 1.5 miles east,
past the main entrance on the right hand side - this is the second gate.

From San Diego:
1.Take the exit onto I-15 North
