heres the deal on lucent tickets. I know many of you got sticker shock at the 75$ price. I called the do lab fellows, and spoke with them about it. They totally heard what the concerns were, and we were able to work out a way for long time supporters to go to the event for $50.
here's what we came up with, heres how it works, and at the bottom, I explain why ticket prices inadvertently climbed higher than you or the do lab ever wanted. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Here's the deal. The Do Lab loves you. They know you've supported them for years. They see you dancing at Lightning in a Bottle, at their monthly shows, at Coachella.

They hear you when you say "$75 dollars is expensive!"

So for two weeks, for JUST YOU and YOUR IMMEDIATE FRIENDS, The DO LAB wants you to come to Lucent L'amour at a special ticket price, that reflects your years of support for their creations, and that lets you know they care about you.

THE DO LAB LOSES MONEY ON THESE $50 TICKETS. They really do. It'll actually cost them money to sell tickets this cheaply. So this price is a special price, sent out to our long time supporters.
On that note- if you can afford the higher ticket price, please buy that one instead.

Why did Lucent get so expensive?
For several reasons. First of all, the musical lineup for Lucent this year is truly spectacular. It's a whole level higher than a normal show. That costs money. It's going to be an absolutely incredible night, and worth every penny.

Another reason is that in order to accommodate their growing vision while keeping you warm, safe and dry they had to get a much larger venue. And with a venue of this size and caliber comes countless additional expenses that are out of their control.

The Do Lab also pays a lot of people who are involved in their event. Its one thing to throw a 500 person party, with a few volunteers once in a while. But to grow into the level of artwork and designed decoration that they are famous for requires skilled consistently employed hands. Thousand pound stunning decorations hanging over the audience need professional riggers to make it safe. They care about you, your safety, and the well being of their team. That means paying a skilled team to set up the show.

These people are not making anywhere as much as a regular job. But the pay is enough so that this can be their job. They can focus on their true passion- living breathing art. Your ticket money really does create work for our friends and it also enables The Do LaB to keep focusing on ways to keep sharing their art and creativity with you.

The Do LaB are loyal to their people. For example: After hearing numerous complaints about long lines and hassles with tickets, two members of our community stepped up and created their own company that sells tickets, BE TICKETING, and because of their hard work, now the door works much better at everyone's parties. In order for the Do LaB to use them for this venue, they actually have to pay ticketmaster a fee to NOT use ticketmaster.
And for the first 500 people that take advantage of the $50 ticket BeTicketing is going to cover ALL service charges so it truly is a $50 ticket.

The choice for the Do LaB was clear. Never turn your back on the people that helped you grow to your current position. And never go with a ticket company that is famous for gouging the customer and delivering poor service. The Do Lab paid ticketmaster to go away, and went with BETICKETING.


So know that when you pay a bit more to go to a Do Lab show, that money goes right back into our community. These are all of our friends, making a successful life living the dream of being full time artists.

Because these are all our friends, they hear you when you need a price break. They want you there. You're family. So they'll eat the cost just to make it possible for you to share the evening.

I love that our group of friends- people you and I have partied with for years- are now world class creators of musical stages. There's a reason our people, our artists, and our musicians get hired to go perform, create, and inspire in countries like Ireland, Portugal, Costa Rica and Japan. That reason is that we have the best scene anywhere.

This is your scene. You deserve to be at Lucent with all your friends, and we really, truly do not want money to stand in the way of that.
