Jenny and I are heading to Seattle on saturday.
THANK GOD TOO, SO I CAN FINALLY GET AWAY FROM ALL THIS LA RAIN!!

Hahahahah.

Im spinning at two parties, and seeing my brother and his family who live up there.

They shouldn't call it the Pacific North West up there. They should call it the
Pacific North Wet, for how often it rains there.

Do me a favor and send this email to that friend of yours in Seattle. I'd love to meet your
friends from another city.

I love Seattle. Any city that for a brief time was able to champion a music sound is
cool in my book. "the seattle sound".

Friends of mine who were kicking around the glam rock scene here in Los Angeles in the late late 80s,
into the early 90s were right there as the seattle sound broke like the mongol horde on the
big hair bands.

Lets just say, it wasn't pretty. No more sex starved groupies giving the whole band pleasure in a back alley after the show.
No more threesomes for the likes of "skinny puppy" guitarists.
That guy from skid row was still probably getting laid, but just for his looks, not because his band.

Sunset strip went from spandex and hairspray to torn jeans and flannel pretty much over night.

Really when you think about it, it was quite the shift in vibe. well, thank goodness Britney Spears
and Justin Timberlake saved us from all that serious navel gazing music.

Western civilization brought back from the brink of quality bands by the now grown up members of the mickey mouse club.
Whew.

Really Axel Rose was the only musician from that time to survive to now with a critically acclaimed album.
Just kidding. What was with "chinese democracy" anyway? 10 years to make an album...
